Economic Empowerment
Unlocking Opportunities, Building Futures
Extensive data suggests that individuals with disabilities often face limited educational and employment opportunities. Despite the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ensuring equal opportunities in education and employment, people with disabilities remain overrepresented among America's poor and undereducated populations. Economic instability is a reality for many, with housing costs and out-of-pocket medical expenses contributing to their financial challenges.
This program aims to address the numerous financial needs of individuals with physical disabilities. Disability Partnerships supports collaborating with financial institutions to create opportunities for programs that may include scholarships, addressing food insecurity, mitigating housing instability, and providing financial planning resources.
