Jessica Burns
Director of Community Outreach & Spanish SCI Support Group Instructor
Jessica Burns has dedicated over two decades to the fields of health and wellness. With 17 years of experience as a licensed physical therapy assistant, including the last 15 with Adventist HealthCare, she brings a deep understanding of the benefits of professional guidance in exercise and group support. Additionally, she has worked as a personal trainer for six years, underscoring her commitment to helping individuals achieve their health goals safely and effectively.
Jessica also leads the SCI support group for Spanish speakers in partnership with Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation and has assisted with a support group for amputees for about nine years. She facilitates peer visitors for individuals with spinal cord injuries, disorders (SCI/D), and amputations at her hospital. Beyond her professional roles, Jessica co-founded a nonprofit focused on community outreach for underprivileged children and the homeless population, serving from 2013 to 2019. Her extensive experience and passion for health and wellness make her a valuable asset to any team.
